Don Dinkmeyer, Sr., Ph.D., and Don Dinkmeyer, Jr., Ph.D., began CMTI Press 30 years ago.

Don Sr. is the first author on many widely used educational programs, including the STEP series, DUSO, TLC, STET, TIME, PREP, and many textbooks and professional articles. He died in May, 2001. (An obituary can be found here.)

The American Counseling Association (ACA) created the Don Dinkmeyer Social Interest Award, annually given to a counseling professional who has made a significant contribution to the development of counseling or educational materials for families.

Don Jr. is a Professor of Counseling in the Graduate College of Education at Western Kentucky University. He is a past President of the North American Society for Adlerian Psychology (NASAP) and has co-authored many works with his father and others, including many of those listed above. And, his brother Jim is also a counselor and author --- on the Early Childhood STEP program.
